Dr. Jaya Jyotika
Associate Professor
Dr. Jaya Jyotika is an Associate Professor of History at School of Social Sciences, Indira
Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. She has completed her M. A. from Banaras
Hindu University (B.H.U.) and M. Phil and Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
She has achieved Gold Medal in M.A. She has qualified NET with JRF in History. She has
more than 10 years of teaching experience in colleges of University of Delhi. She has seven
articles published in national and international journals. She has presented several papers at
national and international seminars. She has been Editorial Associate of an internationally
acclaimed journal: Diaspora Studies (Publisher: Brill). She has been Subject Expert in
Recommendation of History Textbooks for classes 6th to 10 th , SCERT, Haryana, 2021. Her
research interest lies in medieval Indian history and Gandhian Satyagraha in South Africa.
